4.) what is a vector-based design and how is it created?
is the use of geometrical primitives such as points, lines, curves, and shapes, which are all based on mathematical equations, to represent images in computer graphics.
Vector images are made up of tracks that are linear paths which lead through points called control points. each of these points is placed in a fixed position on the x and y axes of the work plan. Each point is a sort of database containing information about the location of the point in the space and the direction of the vector (which is what defines the direction of the track). Can be assigned a color, a shape, a thickness and also a fill to each track.
5.) How is color used effectively in a graphic design?
color is a powerful and attractive aspect of our experience of the world. It shapes our perception, interpretation, and memory of everything we see. color provides visual communication. when used well it can help show effectiveness of a message.
6.) What is a raster-based image and how is it created?
A raster image is a collection of dots called pixels. Each pixel is a tiny square with assigned color value. They are created using a grid of pixels to define the image. 7.) How does the manipulation of size and resolution effect digital images? When you increase the size of an image created in a raster based program, the pixels defining the image can be increased in either number or size. Increasing the number of pixels or making the pixels bigger in an image causes data to spread over a larger area. Spreading the pixels over a larger area causes the image to begin to lose detail and clarity.
