A13 research and inspiration

Exquisite corpse: it is a method by which a collection of words or images is collectively assembled. i took this from wikipedia
History:is similar to an old parlour game called Consequences in which players write in turn on a sheet of paper, fold it to conceal part of the writing, and then pass it to the next player for a further contribution.
who:done by surrealists looking at things that aren't really real.
Surrealism is a cultural movement that began in the early 1920s, and is best known for the visual artworks and writings of the group members. got all from wikipedia.

this work inspired me. i love how its background is a desert but the hand has a storm. i get the meaning and the paportion with the tree. it has been put to small scale in a hand. we normall compare size to humans
this inspired me because ilove what the artist did with the girls hair. how he/she makes it a carneval. also another porpotion scale as well love it.
i like this work and it has inspired me to reall go beyound with this next asignment and really push myself. also you can really tail that this work was done by different artis do to the different type of design.

the creative process

Why do we need a creative process?

  1. improve consistency.
  2. ability to plan and time your work.
  3. raise the quality of your work.
  4. communicate more affectively and in a more professional manner.
Step through the creative process:
  1. Research: The more you know the easier the project will be. Research the client and the competition. get online, magazines, listen to music, pay attention to the world around you.. whatever needed to get inspired. Use what you know.
  2. Brainstorming/inspiration: Striving to be unique and innovative while still following the current trends, ensures a fresh and creative approach. Come up with adjectives to help inspire as well, that will describe the design. Asking questions:What kind of message an i trying to communicate? Who is my audience? What kind of color or style will work with this audience.
  3. Sketch: sketch to get your thoughts out and to work through idea, thumbnails, thumbnails, and more thumbnails. consider the placement of elements. imagery, and how the visual design will relate to the goals.
  4. execute: implement your ideas. combine type and imagery, into a well developed composition. try techniques explore options, if you get stuck walk away and clear your head.
  5. critique and revise: take a step back, (literally) and look at your design with an objective eye.

Photo Composition

Snapshot: is a quick, often spontaneous, taken to record a moment in time.
photograph: an image taken with care and thought.

rules of composition
rule of thirds: imaginary lines drawn dividing the frame of your camera into thirds, both horizontal and vertically.

  • Place your subject where these lines intersect.
  • Place the horizontal line ar the top or the bottom not in middle.
  • Or fill up the entire frame with the subject for a close up image.
leading lines:use the lines created within the foreground or background of the composition to lead the viewer's eye through the photo.
  • Lines can draw attention to one or more intended subjects or a single focal point.
Point of view: change the way your subject is perceived by changing the camera position.
  • if your photographing a subject that you want to seem very tall, compose the shot so that the camera is looking upwards.
  • and vice versa (down)
Simplicity: keep your background simple and clear of clutter.
  • the mood and the effectiveness of a photo can be altered by what is in the background
  • A chaotic composition will cause the viewer to look away.
