Step through the creative process:
- Research: The more you know the easier the project will be. Research the client and the competition. get online, magazines, listen to music, pay attention to the world around you.. whatever needed to get inspired. Use what you know.
- Brainstorming/inspiration: Striving to be unique and innovative while still following the current trends, ensures a fresh and creative approach. Come up with adjectives to help inspire as well, that will describe the design. Asking questions:What kind of message an i trying to communicate? Who is my audience? What kind of color or style will work with this audience.
- Sketch: sketch to get your thoughts out and to work through idea, thumbnails, thumbnails, and more thumbnails. consider the placement of elements. imagery, and how the visual design will relate to the goals.
- execute: implement your ideas. combine type and imagery, into a well developed composition. try techniques explore options, if you get stuck walk away and clear your head.
- critique and revise: take a step back, (literally) and look at your design with an objective eye.
